As a member of NatWest Accelerator Programme, Autsera has applied for and secured a place on the Entrepreneurial Experience Project. We were paired with Stefani Genkova, a NatWest graduate software engineer, for 8 weeks. We benefited from and enjoyed having Stefani on board, and wanted to share our feedback on the experience in the following blog.
Autsera’s experience with NatWest’s Entrepreneurial Experience Project has been very useful. We expected to have an extra pair of hands, but were not sure how much knowledge they will bring to the table. We were very pleased with the graduate we have been matched with. Stefani was open to utilising her technical background and to learning new tools and software, to accomplish the tasks we agreed on. Equally important, she has been flexible with task allocation to help us meet our production timeline. We trusted her skills and her ability to deliver and to do independent research when needed. Tasks were always discussed and agreed mutually rather than allocated. We usually presented Stefani with a list of tasks to choose from according to her work commitment, knowledge, and preference. She was always professional, willing to put any the necessary time and effort to deliver, and communicated outputs in a clear, organised manner. We were impressed with her delivery.
Our biggest challenge was working around the busy schedule of our team and the NatWest graduate, yet both Stefani and we were flexible and keen to work around that. One of the best highlights of our experience was Stefani’s interest in what we do at Autsera, and her keenness to get involved in the work. She repeatedly said that she was happy to work more in her free time to deliver the tasks. We invited her to our Slack platform and considered her a part-time development team member. She fitted in comfortably with our team.
We would certainly encourage other entrepreneurs to apply to the programme and would gladly apply again if allowed.
Thank you NatWest for giving us this chance and thank you Stefani for your valued contribution. Wishing you the best of luck.
